The Union City Schools Foundation was established as an independent, community based organization for the purpose of enhancing the educational experience of the students within the Union City School System.  The cornerstone of the Foundation is the belief that our students represent the future and our efforts to promote educational excellence and innovation will pay great dividends.  The established goal of the Foundation is to provide supplemental resources to the system schools in support of their mission of “preparing students to live, work, contribute and excel in an ever-changing environment.”

The Foundation represents a source of funding beyond budgeted public funding and provides opportunities for our system schools to “help our students reach higher and go further.”  Since its inception in 1996, the Foundation has contributed over $800,000 in support of the educational process.  The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors who review periodic funding requests by the system schools and allocate resources as merited.  The Foundation Board is also charged with the task of soliciting funds in support of its ongoing efforts.
